3rd motif added HWT

Upwards and onwards and another motif added.

This time I used a different plain green!!  This was a darker green and another variegated thread too.

I've also been sewing and doing some drawings for Georgia so I've not been up to any mischief whatsoever!!!  Mind, Nick's happy as it's keeping me quiet!!!

He should be so lucky!!!

Jane! You've done it again! I'll never get to any of the design ideas I have!! This has been very stimulating to me to see what the HWT works up like in your pattern. hmmmmmmm
But what I need most is discipline to stick to my plan and work out what my brain is coming up with before succumbing to the siren call of the thread stash. I know, I know, you probably don't have any discipline to spare......

I've really enjoyed following your 'game,' Jane. It's been very inspiring. Several questions come to mind. (I did an HWT search to see if you might have already answered them.) So, have you concluded that two size 70 or 80 threads is about the same size as a size 40? I noticed that this was what you used with the size 40 thread. I'm also curious to know whether you have put any combinations together that you did not like.

nice motifs. pretty colors together, it is amazing what you can come up with be combining different threads. Do you have a final destination in mind? is this another doily, I see that you have been joining the motifs together.

Thanks everybody. In answer to your question, Tatknot - I've not got any conclusions yet but hope to tell you what I've inspired at the end. I don't feel I can tell exactly how each combination of threads works out until I've done quite a large piece. Years ago I did a large mat and used several of the Altin Basak (which, incidentally, I don't like) to get the colours I wanted. Whilst doing that I discovered that the dyes made a difference to the thicknesses of the thread. So, in answer to that part of your question - I'm 'working on it'!!! Have I found any combinations I don't like? Not yet but I'm always surprised by combinations that I don't think are good and find out later that they work really well. More on this later.
Ladytats - a final destination? Not really!!!!! I'll join a few more together and then may put a border round - IF I manage to stick with it and don't get distracted!!!
