More on the block tatting motif

Another go at the motif but I'm still not happy with it.  As you can see on this version I've replaced the outer picots with rings but they're not right.  Least I don't like them yet.

Not sure what gets into me when I'm designing but it's like artists - you never know when to stop on some designs!!!!  Least that's what BC3 tells me.

Day 2 of the TIAS is progressing well.  Not sure whether there will be many more 'starters' but it's keeping me well out of mischief!!!

Makes them look like crowns... Maybe beads instead of picots? At least they're not ducks.... Lol

The block tatting looks great! The only thing I can see with the rings is that they tilt a little. Is that what you're looking at? If so, I'll be interested to see your solution. Tilted rings can drive me crazy!

I prefer the other version, without the rings. The rings detract from the swirly look.

I agree with Jane McLellan...like better without the rings. it flows better with just picots. Linda

Now see, I like the rings, as they make the points pointier. What I would do is to offset them all to the left to help maintain the swirl. But I'm sure you already thought of that.
